Coach Scott Sarver grew up in Covina, California and graduated from South Hills High School in 2001, where he was an All-C.I.F. champion left-handed pitcher.
In 2002 Sarver pitched at Loyola Mary Mount. The following year, Sarver attended Cal State Fullerton and was a member of the College World Series National Championship Team in 2004. That same year Sarver also pitched in the prestigious Alaska Collegiate League for the Fairbanks Goldpanners where many past and current major leaguers have played.
Continuing his pitching career at Cal State Fullerton, Sarver was All-Big West Conference in 2005. Sarver was drafted in the 21st round by the Houston Astros. While with the Astros, Sarver had the opportunity to pitch alongside Roger Clemens while Clemens was on his tour for his minor league assignment.
Sarver played professionally in Canada with the Calgary Vipers and led the team in pitching. This team is part of the Northern League which is the best independent league in the country.
Coach Sarver has had the opportunity to work with such legends in the major leagues as Tom House, Roger Clemens, Nolan Ryan and Sports Psychologist Ken Ravizza. Coach Sarver plans to continue his professional career playing, and is working to develop Play Hard Baseball Club student athletes while he continues to prepare.
